NEW: New Hampshire Ranks Dead Last in the Nation for Teachers Under Ayotte

According to a new WalletHub analysis, New Hampshire ranks dead last in the nation for teachers based on “compensation, tenure protections, state spending per student, school-system quality, and turnover rates.” Public schools across the state are facing massive budget deficits and chronic underfunding as Kelly Ayotte and New Hampshire Republicans continue to pour millions into their property tax-hiking school voucher scheme. 

Public school educators are being asked to do more with less, and Granite State students — along with taxpayers — are being forced to pay the price. Just weeks into the 2026-27 school year, classrooms are once again struggling to cover their resource gaps, leaving teachers to “make up” for the supplies that “kids don't come in with.” 

The bottom line is clear: Kelly Ayotte’s school voucher scheme is draining funding from public schools, screwing over public educators, and scamming taxpayers.
