NHGOP Thanks Speaker Packard for His Tenure as House Speaker

CONCORD, N.H. — Today, NHGOP Chairman Scott Maltzie issued the following statement as New Hampshire House Speaker Sherman Packard concluded his final session as Speaker of the House:

“Yesterday marked Speaker Sherman Packard’s final session leading the New Hampshire House. For the past eight years, Speaker Packard has provided steady leadership through some of the most challenging times in our state’s history, including the COVID-19 pandemic,” said NHGOP Chairman Scott Maltzie. 

“Under his leadership, New Hampshire continued to build on the advantage that makes our state such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. Speaker Packard has been a dedicated public servant and a strong leader for both the House and the people of New Hampshire.”

“While he will not seek another term as Speaker, we are grateful that he will continue his service as a member of the New Hampshire House. On behalf of the NHGOP, I want to thank Speaker Packard for his years of leadership, service, and dedication to our state.”
